John Bolt is the owner and founder of Palmetto Roofing Specialties. John received his degree from Lander University in Business Finance. John has been married to his wife, Heather, for 23 years and they have 2 children (Cooper and Anna Kate). John enjoys playing golf, spending time at the lake and at the beach.

John is passionate about providing his customers with the best possible service and ensuring that they are completely satisfied with the work done by Palmetto Roofing Specialties. John’s dedication to his work and his commitment to excellence have made Palmetto Roofing Specialties one of the most respected roofing companies in the area.

Shea Smith

Director of Sales, Corporate Team

I am a lifelong resident of Upstate South Carolina and I am proud to call this home! I have been married to my wife, Sharon, for 33 years and enjoy my two children and two grandchildren. I have dedicated my career to serving our community and look forward to working with our wonderful customers to provide them with the highest level of customer service!

Douglas Hightower

Production Manager, Corporate Team

I was born in raised in Upstate South Carolina and have made roots with my wife Anna and our four young children. I serve PRS as the Production Manager, this means I personally schedule the material and labor for each project we have going on and I supervise, at the current moment, six roofing crews. I throughly enjoy seeing homes and businesses in the Carolinas transformed by our amazing teams and the joy it brings our customers.

Ellen Hagen

Office Manager

I was born and raised in Lexington, SC and have lived in the upstate for about 7 years now. I attended Anderson University and then moved to downtown Greenville shortly after. My husband, Kai, and I have been married for 1 year and have a cat named Lucy. We love finding new places to eat, walking and biking on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and hanging out with our friends and family.

I am the office manager for Palmetto Roofing Specialties and am so excited to watch PRS grow, and help our team serve the community!

Andy Menchaca

Senior Estimator, SC

Andy has been a resident of Upstate South Carolina for almost 20 years. He helped install his first shingle roof with his Father at the age of 13. Andy has been involved in many aspects of the Construction industry for most of his life. He has been with Palmetto Roofing Specialties from almost the beginning as a Senior Estimator and Project Manager. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the Residential and Commercial roofing industry. He enjoys meeting new clients and being able to find the best solution for their roofing needs.

Sean Mowery

Senior Estimator, NC

I was born and raised in Shelby, NC. I spend my time between the upstate of SC and western NC . I have been in the Roofing Restoration industry for 16 years. Before that, I spent 13 years in the fire/rescue and law enforcement field. I enjoy standing up for our clients and ensuring they are treated fairly by insurance carriers. I am also a licensed skydiver. In my free time I enjoy flying my wingsuit through the sky, and introducing people to our sport. I believe everyone should experience skydiving. I also enjoy time on my boat, my dog Lizzie, and family time with my 23 year old daughter.

Justin McKinney

Estimator, SC

Hi, My name is Justin Mckinney, I have been a Full time Firefighter for 25 years and been a team member here at Palmetto Roofing Specialties for 6 years now. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, playing golf and watching my daughter cheer.

Kevin Miranda

Estimator, SC

My Name is Kevin Miranda. I started doing Roofing when I got out of high school. I worked for about 2 years with the crews learning as much as I could. My favorite thing is to find leaks. It’s like solving a puzzle. I am Happily married and have 3 fur babies that I’m pretty sure I overfeed. During my free time I’m usually at Greenville Boxing Gym training or Mountain biking at slightly unsafe speeds. My goal in life is to be as happy as possible and spread that happiness to others.

Ric Cody

Estimator, NC

Ric has received his degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice at Gardner Webb University. He has grown up and resides in Shelby, NC with his wife and 2 golden retrievers. If he’s not on a roof, you can find him at the carp lake or deer hunting with his wife. Roofing has been in the Cody family for more than 50+ years. Ric has been a part of Palmetto Roofing Specialties since October of 2022. He enjoys climbing on roofs to check for storm damage and getting to know our customers.
