John Bolt is the owner and founder of Palmetto Roofing Specialties. John received his degree from Lander University in Business Finance. John has been married to his wife, Heather, for 23 years and they have 2 children (Cooper and Anna Kate). John enjoys playing golf, spending time at the lake and at the beach.
John is passionate about providing his customers with the best possible service and ensuring that they are completely satisfied with the work done by Palmetto Roofing Specialties. John’s dedication to his work and his commitment to excellence have made Palmetto Roofing Specialties one of the most respected roofing companies in the area.
Douglas Hightower
Production Manager, Corporate Team
I was born in raised in Upstate South Carolina and have made roots with my wife Anna and our four young children. I serve PRS as the Production Manager, this means I personally schedule the material and labor for each project we have going on and I supervise, at the current moment, six roofing crews. I throughly enjoy seeing homes and businesses in the Carolinas transformed by our amazing teams and the joy it brings our customers.

I am a lifelong resident of Upstate South Carolina and I am proud to call this home! I have been married to my wife, Sharon, for 33 years and enjoy my two children and two grandchildren. I have dedicated my career to serving our community and look forward to working with our wonderful customers to provide them with the highest level of customer service!

Andy has been a resident of Upstate South Carolina for almost 20 years. He helped install his first shingle roof with his Father at the age of 13. Andy has been involved in many aspects of the Construction industry for most of his life. He has been with Palmetto Roofing Specialties from almost the beginning as a Senior Estimator and Project Manager. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the Residential and Commercial roofing industry. He enjoys meeting new clients and being able to find the best solution for their roofing needs.
Kevin Miranda
Estimator, SC
My Name is Kevin Miranda. I started doing Roofing when I got out of high school. I worked for about 2 years with the crews learning as much as I could. My favorite thing is to find leaks. It’s like solving a puzzle. I am Happily married and have 3 fur babies that I’m pretty sure I overfeed. During my free time I’m usually at Greenville Boxing Gym training or Mountain biking at slightly unsafe speeds. My goal in life is to be as happy as possible and spread that happiness to others.
Ric Cody
Estimator, NC
Ric has received his degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice at Gardner Webb University. He has grown up and resides in Shelby, NC with his wife and 2 golden retrievers. If he’s not on a roof, you can find him at the carp lake or deer hunting with his wife. Roofing has been in the Cody family for more than 50+ years. Ric has been a part of Palmetto Roofing Specialties since October of 2022. He enjoys climbing on roofs to check for storm damage and getting to know our customers.
Jake Scruggs
Estimator, NC
I was born and raised in Shelby, NC. I played collegiate golf at Gardner-Webb University till I graduated in 2021. After getting my degree, I chased my dream of playing golf professionally. My hobbies include fishing, playing guitar, golf, and aviation. I am proud to be a part of Palmetto Roofing Specialties because our work speaks for itself. Holding nothing but the highest standard is the company I’m honored to represent.
